Regarding the EOS R50 (black model only), the following potential issue has been confirmed. Details and our customer support measures are found below.

Issue
Regarding the EOS R50 (Black model only), a small number of units may be affected by an issue where the mode dial may become stiff and difficult to operate, or break and detach from the camera.

EOS R50 (Black)
Please note that this issue does not apply to the white model of the EOS R50.
Units that encounter the above-described issue and have serial numbers (indicated on the bottom of the camera) with first two digits between "19" and "23" are affected.
Support
For any unit that experiences this issue, Canon will inspect/repair the unit for free. However, any inspection/repair services other than for the specific issue described above will be subject to applicable service fees, unless covered under warranty.
